Fall Trend Update #2

This season’s trend is energetic and experimental

It’s a bold clash of colour, shapes and modern details. It’s the new urban cool inspired by the pulse of the city, both day and night.

Use cool metals in your jewellery and eye colours. Strike it rich with Granite, Copper and Blue Metal eye shades.

Bling it On!
Layers of chains add a city-smart attitude with high shine in accessories and on the lips being the rule.

A Little History

TRENDS began in Toronto in 2004, when four teen girls decided that something needed to be done in response to the growing uniformity in teen fashion and the increasing tendency to objectify young women. Along with a mentor, TRENDS was their response: a fashion and image project was born. In their own words:

"We want to empower ourselves to achieve fashion freedom: fashion that reflects our personal style and counteracts the objectification of women. Fashion should communicate who we are. We call it doing fashion 'from the inside out'. Teens need a voice in the world of fashion so that we can be empowered to choose clothing that shows our self-worth. We are here to be leaders. We are here to be that voice."

Since 2004, TRENDS had grown from that initial group in Toronto with groups in Montreal, Vancouver, Belleville and Ottawa.
